Here is some feedback from the teachers:
Vembarasi: You sent Pride and Prejudice and that was very nice. Aruna teacher read aloud the book and we enjoyed it. She discussed the characters, modulated her voice and it was fun. I liked Elizabeth’s character because I liked her attitude. Thank you.
Ramya: When we read the story we had fun. We learned the culture, social niceties, dress codes of 19th century England. We also learned how to propose and how and why to refuse! That is very important for us. Thank you for sending us the books.
Jayasree: When we read P&P we were happy. I was so happy to read and listen. When I finished reading I knew how to read the story not only as a novel but also a lesson for my future. Darcy is intelligent and Elizabeth is having fun with knowledge. So I liked both the characters.

Aruna and Raghavan Says:
The books:
The kindergarten books are being used by the children for handwriting. They have been each issued a book and they find them fun and they are quite keen about their books.
The grammar books – workbooks – are being used well by the children. Although every child has been issued a book, they continue to write in their notebooks so that the workbooks from Westminster School can become a part of the text library and the books can be used the next few years.
We found the ‘Pupil’ English books quite exciting and our 6th and 7th standard children are reading them with enthusiasm.
The set of Swiss family Robinson has been slated for the January term for the 5th standard.
The surprise is really the set of 11 Pride and Prejudice books. When we were going through the box of goodies you sent us, I told the teacher who was with me that it was one of my favourite books but that it was too much for children, our oldest being 12. She said, “Can you do the book with us?” You must understand that the teachers of our school come from our village or villages close by. They have never read a classic in English. For a moment I was nonplussed. I of course agreed. Generally, we have a staff meeting / in house training / teaching material creating every morning from 0830 to 0930. [The school for children begins only at 0930.] So this hour for entire months of September and October was used in reading Pride and Prejudice with the staff. It was like a B.A. class. And what a lovely time that was! I thank you very specially for that. I would like to thank you once again for the thought in putting together a box filled with ‘something for everyone’. Here is some feedback from the teachers:
Maheswari:
We enjoyed P&P. We have never read a book like this and I found Darcy and Elizabeth interesting. Mrs Bennet was fun too. We had a great time laughing and discussing the book. Thank you so much sir.
Jeevita: P&P was interesting to me. Everyday I learned a New message: one family can have different characters and how to understand them. Since Aruna teacher read the story with expression I could imagine the story in my mind.
